Born in Govan, Glasgow, in 1964, I have a degree in Education and spent 20 years working
in that field. In 2007 I resigned from my job, as what was initally a part-time vocation
became a full-time living. I've always enjoyed the outdoors and have been collecting sea glass from along the East
Coast of Scotland for well over 10 years. Throughout this time I have also been creating structures and figures
using the sea glass I collected.
I initially made pieces for my own home which then developed into
making pieces for family & friends, and then friends of friends, and so on! Like most artists I wanted to show my work
to a wider audience so I took the plunge and since then my artwork has been exhibited and purchased in various venues including:
Kirkcaldy Museum & Art Gallery and NASGA, Santa Cruz, California. Three of my pieces are also currently on show in
the Annex Gallery, Capitola, California.
